Mississippi Speaker of the House Philip Gunn went “On the Stump” with Y’all Politics last week to talk about his members’ work in the House of Representatives in 2020.

Gunn talked the financial condition of the state under conservative Republican leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying, “Our state was in the best financial condition our state has ever been in prior to the pandemic.”

The Speaker also touted the work to combat human trafficking, an issue he has personally tackled to help women and children.

Gunn also spoke at length about the change of the Mississippi state flag. He commended the “courage” of his members to vote for the change.
