You can help Y’all Politics through COVID-19… Here’s how!

By: Frank Corder - June 3, 2020

Since Day 1, Y’all Politics has been at the forefront of COVID-19 news coverage in Mississippi and the implications on both our government and its citizens. Daily, we share news, analysis and insights into how this pandemic is affecting citizens and our public response, with the goal being to provide you a clear, honest picture of the situation at hand minus the mainstream media hype.

Over the last few months, we here at Y’all Politics have provided data and analysis on COVID-19 trends in Mississippi and brought you the daily press conferences from Governor Tate Reeves across our platforms. We have interviewed nearly every major decision maker and elected official, allowing you to hear from them directly as this pandemic persists. We have shown how Mississippi government is working to provide more access to information and given a glimpse into the real fiscal and health challenges ahead. Our reporters have questioned policies and narratives while offering a means to engage and understand, whether on YallPolitics.com or on our social media platforms. And we have done all of this and more during a massive economic downturn that has negatively affected small businesses like ours.

Many of our readers have asked how they can help us continue to bring the news coverage Mississippi needs during this time, and even expand our reach and readership as a valued voice in Mississippi media.  Now, there is a way to help us do just that.

As a member of the national Local Media Association (LMA), Y’all Politics is now able to accept tax deductible donations to assist us in continuing to bring you this coverage through The COVID-19 Local News Fund, a program administered by the Local Media Foundation (LMF), a 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with LMA. The purpose of the program is to increase coverage of COVID-19 issues in local communities while advertising sales have been slowed due to the economic downturn. This allows independent and family-owned news organizations to solicit tax-deductible community donations to support and increase their coverage of the crisis.

Here at Y’all Politics, your contributions will directly support those bringing you behind-the-scenes stories on how government is responding during these times.

Y’all Politics is a unique media voice in Mississippi that holds public officials and even other media outlets accountable.  We hope our readers who have enjoyed our free content over the years will support us.  As the saying goes, it is always free to read but not free to produce.

If you enjoy the perspective Y’all Politics adds to the media conversation, we ask you to consider donating today at the link below, or contact us via email at news@yall.rndr.tech to consider advertising with us as we continue our mission in Mississippi.
