Mississippi Association of Realtors Endorses Justice Kenny Griffis

By: Magnolia Tribune - May 18, 2020

Today, Supreme Court Justice Kenny Griffis announced that his
campaign has been endorsed by the Mississippi Association of Realtors political action committee (MARPAC) for the 2020 election cycle.

Tony Jones, MARPAC Chairman stated, “We are pleased to endorse Supreme Court Justice Kenny Griffis in his campaign because Realtors know the importance of supporting elected officials who have a proven record of prioritizing housing, real estate and property rights issues. That’s why we’re encouraging all of our membership to actively support Justice Griffis.”

“I’m honored to be endorsed by the Mississippi Association of Realtors in this
campaign,” said Justice Griffis. “I’ve worked hard to follow and apply the law in a way that ensures fairness, without legislating from the bench. As a Constitutional conservative, I’m very mindful that the decisions made on the Supreme Court directly impact the lives of millions of people in our state, their individual rights and economic landscape.”

Justice Griffis was appointed to the Mississippi Supreme Court on February 1, 2019, by former Governor Phil Bryant. Prior to joining the Supreme Court, he served on the Court of Appeals for 16 years and was honored to end his tenure there as Chief Judge. Supreme Court District 1 includes the following counties: Bolivar, Claiborne, Copiah, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Madison, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Rankin, Scott, Sharkey, Sunflower, Warren, Washington, and Yazoo.

Supreme Court elections are nonpartisan with the general election being held on
November 3, 2020. For more information about Justice Kenny Griffis and his campaign, please visit www.KennyGriffis.com.
