New McRae Television Ad Launched Statewide

By: Courtney Ingle - June 26, 2019

On Tuesday, June 25th David McRae launched his second statewide television ad.  Called “Number 1 Dad,” the ad features his daughter Madeline and began running during the Miss Mississippi program. It is being added to the McRae for Treasurer statewide advertising rotation today.

“In addition to policy goals, I want Mississippians to know of my personal commitment to family, faith and the values most Mississippians also share,” McRae said. “Mississippians know that true conservativism goes beyond just sound fiscal policies.  It also entails a commitment to preserving life and the traditional family values that have sustained our nation and made it great.”

 McRae’s candidacy has earned the endorsement of Governor Phil Bryant, 30 Trump 2016 campaign county chairmen from throughout Mississippi, as well as President Trump’s 2016 State Finance Chairman for Mississippi.

The first McRae campaign television spots were released earlier this month specifically highlighting McRae’s background as part of a well-known Mississippi business family who owned and operated the Mississippi-based McRae’s Department Store for almost a century.

David McRae now serves as Equity Managing Partner of McRae Investments.  In his role, David formulates and directs investment strategy and assists the McRae family Foundation in various charitable and philanthropic priorities which focus on private sector solutions that can improve Mississippi’s housing, healthcare, and educational endeavors.

            As State Treasurer, David McRae is committed to four fundamental goals:

Transparency: ensuring Mississippians know where and how state dollars are invested

Sound strategy: working to ensure Mississippi’s investment portfolio matches or out-performs the market;

Debt management: minimizing debt, maximizing the state’s credit rating;

Constituent service: treating taxpayers as the boss and managing tax dollars well.
