Watson Releases Campaign Ad for Secretary of State Featuring Governor Phil Bryant

By: Sarah Ulmer - June 24, 2019

Today, Sen. Michael Watson released an ad featuring Governor Phil Bryant endorsing Watson in his bid to serve as Mississippi’s next Secretary of State. In the ad, Bryant highlights Watson’s conservative record in the Mississippi Senate.

“Michael Watson has worked with me to fight illegal immigration and to protect the integrity of our elections,” Bryant says in the ad. “He’s a man of strong faith and a dedicated family man. I hope you’ll join me in supporting Michael Watson for Secretary of State.”

A long-time conservative leader in the State Senate, Watson has fought to lower taxes, limit regulations on small businesses and protect the rights of the unborn.

His campaign is supported by a long list of Mississippians, including legislators, locally elected officials, business leaders and law enforcement officers from across the state of Mississippi.  Michael Watson was the first statewide candidate to be endorsed by Bryant in the 2019 election cycle.

“Governor Bryant knows my character and work ethic,” Watson said. “I’m proud to have earned his full support.”

Watson currently serves as State Senator for District 51 in Jackson County.  He and his wife Lauren live in Hurley with their three daughters, Gracie Pierce, Annie and Cora Elizabeth.
