By: Courtney Ingle - December 7, 2018

Jeremy England, a lawyer and lifelong resident of Jackson County has announced his candidacy for the District 51 Senate seat.  This is the seat that Michael Watson currently holds.  Watson has announced his intention to run as a Republican for Secretary of State in 2019.

England took to Facebook on Thursday to make the announcement.

“For those of you who know me, you know I’ve always felt the drive to be involved,” said England. “I’ve always had a heart that’s led me toward public service.”

England, the Jackson County native, said that the area is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

“We’ve also benefited from strong conservative leadership and I’m ready to carry on that tradition,” said England. “While I can’t assure you that we’ll always agree…I’ll work for you.”

England has also launched a website to kickstart his campaign.
