RRH Elections (right-leaning) and Bold Blue Campaigns (left-leaning) teamed with JMC Analytics to release a live response poll on the eve of the Mississippi Senate Runoff election.
Among the top line findings, it shows that Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R) maintains a 10 point lead (54-44) over Mike Espy (D). The poll shows that voters are breaking generally along traditional party lines. Interestingly, they asked a question about the first ballot choices, and 100% of the respondents who voted for State Senator Chris McDaniel who responded to the poll said they would be supporting Hyde-Smith.
President Trump’s job approval in the poll was 56% as opposed to 43% of Mississippians that did not approve.
The survey was conducted November 19-21 and 23-24, 2018 with 684 Live Response calls by Bold Blue Campaigns and JMC Analytics & Polling, and has a margin of error of +/- 4%. RRH Elections is solely responsible for data analysis for this survey, including demographic weighting. The survey results were weighted by self-reported race, gender, and first-round vote.
