Results rolled in well after 10:00 p.m. last night for the Primary election in Mississippi. It looks like there will be some runoff elections before heading to the November ballot. Here are a few words from candidates that ran in the U.S. Senate and House races last night.
Representative David Baria pulled out in second in the Democratic U.S. Senate primary and will face Howard Sherman in a run off:

Howard Sherman, will be in a runoff for the U.S. Senate seat:

Incumbent Congressman Steven Palazzo:
First, I want to thank everyone who came out and voted today in the Republican Primary.
Over the last 7 years, I believe everything I’ve been fighting for, voting for, and working toward shows that I am not only a conservative, but a proven conservative.
Since day one I have worked to ensure our priorities are met from securing the borders to strengthening our military and providing the very best care for our veterans. Alongside President Trump we are doing all of these things.

Incumbent Senator Roger Wicker will be moving forward on the Republican ticket:

Michael Guest, winner of the District 3 primary and headed to a runoff against Whit Hughes sent this letter to supporters:
Thank You. We’ve made it to the runoff election. Because of your support, in a field of six strong candidates, we led the field in the primary election today with 45% of the vote.
I want to congratulate the other candidates on running good campaigns, and no matter who you voted for today, I’m asking for your support in the upcoming runoff election on June 26—just three weeks from now.
Having worked for the past 22 years to make our communities a safer place to live, worship and raise a family, I want to use that experience and proven record of fighting for our conservative values, to now fight for Mississippi in the United State Congress.

Candidates Jeramey Anderson, Bennie Thompson, Randy Wadkins and Trent Kelly all ran unopposed in their House District elections.
