VIDEO: Wicker launches tv campaign to “set the record straight” on candidate Sen. McDaniel

By: Sarah Ulmer - March 7, 2018

Wicker for Senate has launched a statewide television advertising campaign to educate voters on Senator Chris McDaniel’s record of opposing not only President Donald Trump, but also supporters of President Trump, and the most important items of the Trump agenda in Washington.

Wicker campaign manager Justin Brasell said, “Senator McDaniel opposed Donald Trump in the primary, did nothing to help elect President Trump over Hillary Clinton, and for the past 13 months has consistently opposed the most important items on the President’s agenda.  Republican primary voters deserve to know the truth about Senator McDaniel’s dismal record.”

Watch the ad here.  The spot features the 10+ year veteran of the Mississippi Senate in a swamp soaking up the spotlight while his real record is exposed.

The ad will air on Fox News Channel statewide, on broadcast in the Jackson, Columbus-Tupelo-WestPoint, Biloxi-Gulfport, Hattiesburg-Laurel, Meridian, and Greenville-Greenwood markets, and online.

Roger Wicker is endorsed by President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.  Sixty-eight (68) Mississippi Trump chairs and co-chairs from the President’s 2016 campaign in the state have endorsed Wicker and joined his campaign organization.

“In 2016 while Senator McDaniel sat on his hands and went missing during the general election, I was speaking at the Republican National Convention for President Trump and traveling the country working to elect the Trump-Pence ticket and Republican Senators.  That team work for our conservative agenda has paid dividends for our country.  We’ve cut thousands of job-killing regulations, confirmed a record number of conservative judges, and passed historic tax cuts.  I will continue working with President Trump to grow our economy, secure our borders, and keep Americans safe,” said Senator Roger Wicker.
