The JLBC gave an updated report on where Mississippi’s finances lie as of January 31, 2018. So far, the fiscal YTD is over estimate at $23.1 million and for the month it’s over the estimate by $1.2 million.
Total revenue collections for January are $1,150,205 or $.28% above the sine die revenue estimate. Corporate and gaming taxes revenue are the only that have gone down since sine die (charts included in the report.)
In Mississippi the latest on unemployment is 4.6%, the national is 4.1%. Mississippi is down -0.2.
