Gov. Phil Bryant Sets Special Election Date For Senate District 10

Jackson, Miss.– Gov. Phil Bryant has set Nov. 7 as the date for the special election for Senate District 10. The seat was recently vacated when former Sen. Bill Stone resigned.

The qualifying deadline is Sept 18. If no candidate receives a majority of votes cast on Nov. 7, a runoff will be held on Nov. 28. District 10 covers parts of Marshall and Tate counties.
