Gov. Bryant Issues Writ of Election for House of Representatives District 108
Jackson, Miss. – Gov. Phil Bryant has issued a Writ of Election for the vacant House of Representatives District 108 seat. Rep. Mark Formby vacated the seat to take a position with the Workers Compensation Commission in April.
The special election to fill the vacancy in House of Representatives District 108 shall be held on July 25, 2017. The qualifying deadline shall be June 5, 2017.
If no candidate receives a majority of the votes cast in the special election, then a runoff election shall be held on August 15, 2017
