Libertarian candidate drops out of mayor’s race
Mariner Durant, the Libertarian candidate for mayor, dropped out of the race on Tuesday.
Durant said he dropped out “for security reasons” and said, “at this point I’m just following what law enforcement tells me to do.”
Neither the Meridian Police Department nor the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department said they had been in contact with Durant.
