State Sen. Michael Watson on @paulgalloshow: “I think we can do better” in #MS04

By: Magnolia Tribune - April 7, 2017

State Sen. Michael Watson (R – Jackson County) was a guest on SuperTalk’s Paul Gallo Show Friday morning.

After discussing various legislative issues, including the possibility of a state lottery (which Watson endorsed), Gallo asked the state senator about his future prospects.

It is well known that Watson would love to move up the food chain, hinting over the years at a Congressional or statewide run, and frequently criticizing incumbent 4th Congressional District Congressman Steven Palazzo along the way.

Watson told Gallo he was keeping his options open for now while continuing to take his digs at Palazzo.

“There are a lot of moving parts right now,” Watson said. “You look at D.C., down here in the Fourth Congressional District. I think we can do better. You look at the state level. There’s going to be several open offices that I feel I could do a good job with, so we’ll see.”

Listen to the interview here (around 44:38).
