State agrees to new settlement in long running foster care case

The state of Mississippi has agreed to a new settlement in it’s long running foster care case. State leaders have agreed to a one-year time-out and then graduated compliance.

The order was signed in federal court Monday. During the next year, the state must ensure lower caseloads, that homes will be licensed by June 2017, and all children will be placed in licensed homes.
