Two face off for Mississippi House District 106
Two candidates will square off Tuesday in a runoff for Mississippi House District 106, which represents parts of Pearl River and Lamar counties.
John Glen Corley and Greg Holcomb, the two candidates who received the most votes during the Nov. 8 special election, are vying for the seat left vacant when former representative Herb Frierson resigned in June after being appointed commissioner of revenue. Frierson had held the position since 1992.
According to the Mississippi Secretary of State’s website, Corley led the Nov. 8 election with 2,504 votes, followed by Holcomb with 2,253 votes.
