Let me just say up front: I doubt it.

Gov. Phil Bryant on Wednesday, basking in the Trump victory in which he and Mississippi played a hand, left the door open to him accepting a Trump Administration posting, should one be offered. This softened what had been a pretty firm denial of such a scenario by Bryant back in late September….

…Top 50 fete draws crowd

Y’all Politics and SuperTalk Mississippi held a ceremony Wednesday night in Jackson for their Mississippi Top 50 Most Influential awards that drew hundreds of political and business leaders.

The night was highlighted by speeches from U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran and former Gov. William Winter, recipients of Hall of Fame awards. The elder statesmen at the end of the night accepted their awards and addressed the crowd.
