Miss. Supreme Court says embattled DA can try cases
The Mississippi Supreme Court has thrown out Hinds County Circuit Judge Jeff Weill’s administrative order temporarily barring the Hinds County district attorney from participating in cases on his court docket.
The court said Thursday in an opinion that Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith, who’s facing felony charges, wasn’t given due process before Weill entered the order in late July.
