MSGOP Responds to Democratic Press Conference

JACKSON, MS – Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Joe Nosef released the following statement following a press conference held today by Democratic legislators at the Mississippi State Capitol regarding the state’s budget:

“It’s amusing but not surprising that what’s left of the Democrat Party in the legislature is breathlessly attacking our Republican leadership for its focus on tax cuts as a priority. The problem is these same Democrat legislators who are now criticizing tax cuts actually voted in FAVOR of them in prior legislative sessions. I suppose they were for them before they were against them?”
