State Rep. Jay Hughes (D) attempts to link MS Republican Legislators to convicted AL Speaker

State Rep. Jay Hughes, a freshman Democrat, posted this on Facebook on Sunday, seemingly trying to link the Mississippi Republican legislative supermajority to the now convicted Alabama Speaker of the House.

Hughes posted a picture of the Alabama Speaker with Mississippi House Speaker ProTem Rep. Greg Snowden, writing, “SPECIAL INTERESTS & CRONIES IN A SUPERMAJORITY: How do they have their way with our leadership and money? They do it the same way as Alabama Speaker of House who was convicted yesterday of criminal charges for peddling influence. They all sleep in the same bed.”
