State revenue collections rebound slightly in May
State revenue collections rebounded in May, but the recovery does not seem big enough to offset what was a dismal April.
In May, according to figures from the Department of Revenue, the state collected $453.7 million in revenue – $4.3 million or .96 percent more than the official estimate.
The figures for May, which do not include some earnings on investment or other non-Department of Revenue sources of income, are much better than the figures for April, when revenue collections were $85 million below the estimate.
