Gov. Phil Bryant details emotional visit to Afghanistan
Just a week after coming home from a visit with troops in Afghanistan, Gov. Phil Bryant is still moved by the things he saw there.
“It was one of the most phenomenal experiences of my life,” Bryant said of the two-day visit.
He recounts a story of being in a Blackhawk helicopter when the flare dispensers went off, countermeasures that are part of a missile warning system that informs the aircraft crew of a threat.
