Anti-vaccine group wages social media war on lawmakers
The Mississippi Parents for Vaccine Rights group has launched a social media attack on lawmakers, trying to trying to push them to pass House Bill 938.
The group is posting lawmakers’ and Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves’ cell phone numbers on its Facebook site and urging people to hit their phones with calls and texts. It appears people are blowing up the lawmakers’ phones with messages and calls, some not particularly nice.
Maybe they know what they’re doing, but such tactics usually don’t work well for getting legislation passed, particularly in the Senate.
