Gov. Bryant halts Port and Harbor Commission appointment in the Bay

In January, when Kane was up for reappointment, council members voted unanimously to recommend he remain and sent a letter to Bryant with that recommendation.

The trouble is, in December, Bryant got another letter from Councilman Joey Boudin recommending Johnson fill the seat.

The two letters with different picks gave the Governor pause, and he put the Bay St. Louis appointment on hold until the council clarifies the confusion. We spoke with Johnson Monday.
