Senate panel hears Sojourner challenge of loss to Dearing
But Brad Pigott, attorney for Dearing, appeared to stump or fluster Sojourner a couple of times in his cross examination, when he asked her for nitty gritty evidence that the election should be overturned.
“I’m not asking you what you can’t prove,” Pigott said in one volley. “I’m asking you about what you have actual evidence of. Do you have any proof that shows any of this activity you claim changed one vote in the state Senate race? Evidence, not speculation, not your concerns, not speeches, but evidence. Evidence about any vote being changed for you or Mr. Dearing.”…
…McDaniel said he’s not directly helping Sojourner in her case before the Senate committee, in part because he wants to be able to help argue her case when it goes before the full Senate.
“I’m watching, and I know the law,” McDaniel said. “I want to be able to make this case on the Senate floor.”
