Quinn qualifies as Democrat to seek #MS03 Congressional seat

Democrat… Republican… Democrat… What’s politically expedient?

Dennis Quinn has qualified to seek the Democratic nomination for Congressman in the Third District.

Quinn recently ran as a Republican for the Mississippi state Senate in District 38, a Democrat leaning district where Kelvin Butler did not seek reelection. Quinn lost to the Democrat nominee and now state Sen. Tammy Witherspoon by nearly 40 points.

This is not Quinn’s first run for Congress in the Third District. In 2014 he ran as a Democrat, losing in a runoff to the nominee Doug Magee. Magee went on to lose the race versus incumbent Republican Congressman Gregg Harper in the general election by more than 50 points.
