Mayor Mary’s campaign finance report shows she did what she criticized Pickering for doing

Butler report has same thing she blasted Pickering for

Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler, in the latest campaign finance report for her erstwhile run for state auditor, appears to have done one of the same things for which she blasted incumbent Auditor Stacey Pickering.

Butler’s report, filed Friday, lists four payments from her campaign to American Express totaling $60,517, without explanation or documentation of the expenses.

But Butler says she’ll publicly provide receipts and documentation that show the expenses were for her campaign and not personal if Pickering will do likewise.
