RELEASE:
The US Senate late Thursday gave final approval to the Protecting Affordable Coverage for Employees Act (HR.1624). Senators Cochran and Wicker cosponsored the Senate companion bill to HR.1624, which now goes to the President.
HR.1624, also cosponsored by Mississippi Congressmen Harper and Kelly, would allow states to maintain their small group insurance market definition at 50 employees, instead of the 100-employee threshold required by Obamacare.
