The head of the Mississippi Development Authority, Glen McCullough, testified before the Joint Legislative Budget committee Tuesday noting that a 7.8% budget cut in favor of Initiative 42 would jeopardize support for military communities across the state – Keesler, Camp Shelby, Meridian and the like.
McCullough noted that such cuts could imperil these military bases and make it tough to fight against base closures.
