Starner Jones gets endorsement from group called AAPS in #MS01

By: Magnolia Tribune - March 31, 2015

Today, conservative political outsider Dr. Starner Jones received the endorsement from The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). The organization cited Dr. Jones medical background and personal experience with the effects of Obamacare as reason for their endorsement. AAPS is encouraging all members of the medical community to support Dr. Jones for Congress on May 12th.

Release from Association of American Physicians and Surgeons:

The Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS), a voice for private medicine since 1943, enthusiastically endorses emergency physician Starner Jones, M.D., in the special election for Congress in Mississippi’s first district on May 12.
Dr. Jones understands, from first-hand experience, the effect of ObamaCare on the practice of medicine and pledges to work for repeal.

His primary opponents are professional politicians, lobbyists, bureaucrats and lawyers. As Dr. Jones points out, “If we want to change the results, we have to change the players on the team. ”

We need a physician who will stand up to both parties and do what’s right for America.

AAPS has members in all specialties, in all states, including many in Mississippi. Visit for more information.

Starner Jones released the following statement following the endorsement: “I’m grateful for the trust and support of medical professionals from across Mississippi. They understand firsthand how critical it is that we repeal and replace Obamacare. If we want different results in Washington, we have to change the players on the team. We can’t trust the professional politicians to solve the problems they’ve created. I’m a doctor, not a politician and I wear proudly the badge of a political outsider looking in at a broken government. I humbly ask for your vote on May 12th to help fix it,” said Dr. Jones.
