RELEASE:

Billingsley Qualifies for State Senate?

Vows to bring business experience to state government

Madison, MS- Bill Billingsley announced today that he has qualified with the Mississippi Republican Party as a candidate in the August 4th Republican primary for Mississippi Senate in the 25th District.

The district includes much of Madison and Ridgeland, as well as eight precincts in northeast Jackson.

Billingsley said, “I believe it’s especially important for people with a business background to seek elective office. Government needs to run like a business, and I think I can help that happen in the Senate.”

Billingsley is the former owner and COO of Gilbert’s Home Health and Hospice and is a member of the Madison County Republican Party Executive Committee.

“Millions upon millions of dollars are spent on health care in Mississippi every year, and the citizens deserve to have more people with health care education and experience in the room when these spending decisions are being made,” he stated.

Bill and his wife Stephanie, the daughter of the late Senator Bunky Huggins from Greenwood, have been residents of Madison for over a decade.
