PSC Chairman Posey Announces Delay in Kemper Project Prudency Hearings
Today the Mississippi Public Service Commission voted unanimously to delay the prudency hearings regarding the Ratcliff Plant (Kemper Project) which were originally scheduled for September 2014. This will allow Mississippi Power an opportunity to place the plant in commercial operation in an effort to demonstrate its viability for a reasonable period.
“Delaying these hearings will further benefit Mississippi Power rate payers by allowing the Commission to address prudency in a more fully developed record,” said Chairman Lynn Posey.
