Pascagoula’s Ward 1 to elect new council member
There will soon be a vacancy on the Pascagoula City Council. Ward 1 Councilman Larry Taylor has confirmed to WLOX News he has accepted a new basketball coach job at Water Valley High School in north Mississippi.
City Manager Joe Huffman said Taylor is expected to submit his resignation letter to the council at next Tuesday’s meeting. The resignation will become effective August 1st.
Huffman said once the council meets to declare a vacancy, a special election will be held within 30 to 45 days.
