Group refiles voting lawsuit against GOP, SOS in Jackson
The Texas based conservative group had withdrawn its original lawsuit after federal Northern District Judge Michael Mills issued a show-cause order, questioning why the lawsuit was brought in the northern district. The lawsuit was refiled in the Southern District, in Jackson, and eight new Mississippi voters joined on as plaintiffs, bringing the total to 22.
The group added nine election commissions as defendants, in the following counties: Copiah, Hinds, Jefferson Davis, Lauderdale, Leake, Madison, Rankin, Simpson and Yazoo.
