Congressman Alan Nunnelee continues recovery in Texas
HOUSTON, Tex. (WTVA) — A spokesperson for Congressman Alan Nunnelee says he is continuing to recover at a Texas hospital following surgery Monday.
Nunnelee had an operation to remove a mass at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Doctors feel the surgery was successful, but say there are some complications.
Congressman Nunnelee is experiencing difficulty with his speech and with mobility on his left side.
The Republican from Tupelo will remain in the hospital until the first part of next week and then will move to a rehabilitation facility in Houston, Texas.
Doctors say Nunnelee’s speech and mobility will be restored after going through therapy.
