In mass email @childers4senate conveniently fails to mention he’s running in the Dem primary #MSSen

US Senate candidate Travis Childers sends out mass email, conveniently failing to mention that he’s running in the Mississippi Democratic primary.

***** Email below:

“For those of you who don’t know me: My name is Travis Childers, and I’m running to represent the great state of Mississippi in the U.S. Senate.

Now let me tell you, too many folks in Washington are putting special interests above the American public – I simply won’t stand for that.

What they’re doing is wrong. Medicare, Social Security and a chance to earn an education are not expendable lines in a budget. Tax cuts to big corporations that ship jobs overseas – now that’s expendable.

Click here to learn more about me and how I’ll put the Senate back to work for the American people, not special interests.

I’m a small business owner and family man who puts my community first because without them, I wouldn’t be here today.

When I was 16 years old, my father died and I went to work at my hometown convenience store to help my mother and sister. Our community was behind us every step of the way. A product of Mississippi public schools, I worked my way through community college and Ole Miss.

These experiences taught me early on the importance of lending a helping hand to our neighbors so they can do more than just get by, but instead get ahead.

With this conviction in mind, my wonderful wife Tami and I started a small business together, and we’ve been running it for years. It’s taught me a thing or two about creating jobs and the value of family – our children Dustin and Lauren continue to inspire me every day.

As Congressman for Mississippi’s 1st District in the House of Representatives, I earned a reputation as someone willing to put himself on the line for the American people.

Thank you for your kind words and support. Together we can make America and Mississippi more prosperous for all.

And, my goodness, please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of any help.

Travis W. Childers
