Miss. House honors first female African American MSU national alumni president

RELEASE: First Female African American President of MSU National Alumni Association Camille Scales Young Honored by MS House of Representatives

JACKSON, Miss.—Today, members of the Mississippi House of Representatives commended Camille Scales Young on being named the first female African American President of the Mississippi State University Alumni Association. Young was recognized with House Concurrent Resolution 15. She was joined by members of her family, legislators who graduated from MSU, President of MSU Dr. Mark Keenum and her mentor, former Governor William Winter. Young serves as vice president of Cornerstone Government Affairs in Jackson.
