With the deadline nearing for the Mississippi Democratic Party to run one of their own in the U.S. Senate race, YP continues to do some recon on what may be coming in the next couple of days.

Hood was also in D.C. this week for a DAGA conference.
Should Hood run, his entry would give Democrats perhaps the only valid chance at winning a Senate seat in Mississippi whether he faced Republicans Thad Cochran or Chris McDaniel. Early math says he’d be slightly favored over McDaniel and a formidable underdog to Cochran.
