Palazzo: budget deal brings hope to 2014 Congress
Congress’ approval of a new budget last week “keeps us from managing by crisis for two years,” U.S. Rep Steven Palazzo told a full house at Tuesday’s meeting of the Petal Rotary Club, but added that he is still hopeful that adjustments can be made when Congress returns to session in January. One of those adjustments that needs to be made, he said, is that the new budget changes the cost-of-living adjustment for veterans under the age of 62. For veterans 62 or older, it remains the same, he said.
