Ocean Springs mayoral candidates trading accusations on Facebook
Democrat incumbent Connie Moran and two-time Republican challenger John McKay will square off Tuesday for a moderated debate that McKay’s campaign is paying for, right down to the fried chicken buffet.
But before then, the political pair are airing their thoughts on Facebook, with each accusing the other’s camp of posting inappropriate and inaccurate information.
McKay, in his fourth term as Jackson County District 5 supervisor, is paying to host the debate at the Ocean Spring Civic Center so that the people can hear the two candidates’ thoughts on the best direction for the city, he said.
Moran offered the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center for free, but said McKay decided against it.
