Former Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove, wife establish Northwest scholarship

Former Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove and his wife, Melody Musgrove, have established a scholarship at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where Musgrove attended and served as president of the Student Government Association.

Officials of the Senatobia-based college said the former governor and his wife wanted to show their support for education.

“The scholarship was established because of the Musgroves’ interest in education, their desire to help students and in appreciation of the excellent education Ronnie received at Northwest at the beginning of his higher education journey,” said Sybil Canon, NWCC associate vice president of development and special projects.
