Navy honors Thad Cochran with Distinguished Public Service Award
U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., has received the Navy Distinguished Public Service Award.
The presentation was made Thursday by Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, a former Mississippi governor.
The citation accompanying the medal cites Cochran’s career with the Navy as an officer and his role in supporting the Navy as a senator and member of Senate Appropriations Committee and its Subcommittee on Defense.
