Gov. Bryant Sets Special Election Date for Senate District 28
JACKSON—Gov. Phil Bryant today issued a Writ of Election for Mississippi Senate District 28, setting Feb. 5, 2013, as the election date to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Sen. Alice Harden.
The qualifying deadline for candidates is Jan. 7, 2013.
If no candidate receives a majority of votes cast in the special election, a runoff election will be held Feb. 26, 2013.
