Landry’s Golden Nugget buys Isle Casino Biloxi for $45 million
The sale of Isle Casino Biloxi to Landry’s Golden Nugget was finalized Thursday, although the name of the resort won’t change for about six months.
Landry’s announced in March it would buy Mississippi’s first casino from Isle of Capri for $45 million.
A renovation and expansion of the resort are expected to begin in January. By June, the renovation should be far enough along to rebrand the resort the Golden Nugget Biloxi, said Jeff Cantwell, senior vice president of development for Landry’s.
“By spring of 2014, it will be 100 percent complete,” he said.
