George Flaggs, Vicksburg and Incidentals
My gut tells me that Rep. Flaggs has been holding his cards close while watching first term Vicksburg Mayor Paul Winfield crash and burn amid allegations of impropriety to put it mildly. If Flaggs decides to enter the race, he immediately becomes the favorite in what will be one of the hottest primaries to watch in 2013…or will there be a primary?
Recent history has shown that mayoral races across the Mississippi Delta have tended to go towards the better financed, Independent candidate which may open the door to an Independent run by Flaggs. What an exciting race to watch!
