Chaney wrong to wait on insurance plan
Mike Chaney has us confused. In a recent editorial, we were praising the Republican insurance commissioner for resisting political pressure and proceeding with a common-sense idea to make it easier for Mississippi consumers to shop for health insurance.
Now it seems that we spoke too soon.
Chaney is suddenly giving mixed signals about setting up a state-run health insurance exchange.
He released a statement that many, including Gov. Phil Bryant, took to be an about-face by Chaney.
