Barbour: Romney ‘not that conservative’
Former Gov. Haley Barbour told reporters last week that Massachusetts governor, and presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, is not that conservative.”
And, he suggested, that’s not a bad thing.
“We’re a broad party,” Barbour said, according to a report by Roll Call. “There are a lot of people in the Republican Party who are not that conservative, including our nominee for president. He was the least conservative of the serious candidates, and he won the nomination with the party totally united behind him.”
