Mississippi airports awarded grants
Airport improvement projects in Mississippi will receive more than $9.7 million in Federal Aviation Administration funding.
The announcement was made Wednesday by Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss.
Cochran said the announcements came after final congressional approval to legislation that reauthorized federal aviation programs such as the AIP, the Small Community Air Service Development Program and the Essential Air Service program.
