GOV. PHIL BRYANT VETOES SENATE BILL 2675
JACKSON – Gov. Phil Bryant issued the following statement after vetoing Senate Bill 2675:
“While I believe that Senate Bill 2675 was well intentioned, it allows for overly-broad authority to close a small business without due process. In this tough economy, we must do all that we can to protect small businesses from the threat of an overreaching government. The Department of Revenue can use many other reasonable approaches to satisfy tax balances, and I recommend we explore those options.”
