Dickie Scruggs asks court’s OK to question key witnesses

Friday, attorneys for the former Oxford attorney asked Senior U.S. District Judge Glen H. Davidson to allow “limited discovery” or questions of former Hinds district attorney Ed Peters, former circuit judge Bobby DeLaughter, former Booneville attorney Joey Langston and former New Albany attorney Tim Balducci.

They say their questions will be “limited to the existence of a quid pro quo agreement” and DeLaughter’s illegal conversations about a lawsuit against Scruggs by Roberts Wilson of Oxford.
